Mapatge a la façana de l’Ajuntament amb motiu de la commemoració del 90è aniversari de la Proclamació de la Segona República

Mapping on the façade of the Town Hall on the occasion of the commemoration of the 90th anniversary of the Proclamation of the Second Republic

El 14 d’abril del 1931, Lluís Companys va sortir al balcó de l’Ajuntament per proclamar la Segona República. 90 anys després, la façana d’aquest mateix edifici es transforma a través del mapatge ‘Espurnes de la ciutat’, que l’artista visual Alba G. Corral i la compositora de teatre i cinema Bárbara Granados han creat per commemorar aquesta data històrica.

On April 14, 1931, Lluís Companys appeared on the balcony of the City Hall to proclaim the Second Republic. 90 years later, the façade of this same building is transformed through the ‘Sparks of the City’ mapping, created by visual artist Alba G. Corral and theater and film composer Bárbara Granados to commemorate this historic date.

La proposta de Corral i Granados és un viatge emocional inspirat en els conceptes d’alegria, obertura, descobriment i esplendor, un imaginari abstracte que es barreja amb arxius de l’època i que s’ha creat a partir de diverses eines de programari lliure i codi obert en un treball col·laboratiu i de temps real junt amb l’artista visual Carlos Padial.

Corral i Granados’ proposal is an emotional journey inspired by the concepts of joy, openness, discovery and splendor, an abstract imaginary that mixes with archives of the time and has been created from various free and open source software in collaborative, real-time work with visual artist Carlos Padial.
